The Ayurveda Conference 2008 at Rishikesh
I have registered for this year’s Ayurveda Conference at Rishikesh and am eagerly looking forward to attending it. Some, very eminent and great Gurus are descending here to show us light like Dr. Robert Svoboda, Dr. David Frawley, Swamini Mayatitananda Saraswati etc.
To quote from Dr. Svoboda’s book on Prakriti (your bodily constitution), he clearly explains why Ayurveda is not just magic-pill science.
I quote, “Many Westerners will study Ayurveda in hopes of finding miracles that will allow them to continue to go about their self-indulgent ways. Though they may find temporary relief this way, permanent relief will come only with permanent changes in lifestyle. These people cheat themselves in the same way that people who flock after miracle-mongers in hope of effortless spiritual advancement cheat themselves. Ayurveda is designed for those who are ready to take responsibility for themselves. ”
