There are several tried and tested remedies for getting rid of body rash that have existed since centuries. Skin is the largest human body organ. Getting a body rash is very common and not very serious. However, if you keep getting body rashes and their severity keeps intensifying then you need to get yourself tested to determine the underlying cause. Usually a body rash is caused as an allergic reaction. The reaction may be triggered by any food, plant or even sudden change in weather. Some people may even get body rashes due to an allergic reaction to any metal or jewelry. A body rash may occur in the form of red skin, warm sensation on the skin, pain and inflammation.
The appearance of body rash is easy to identify. The symptoms of body rash may be redness, warmth, pain, roughness of texture, bumps, itching of the affected area, dryness, scaly skin, shedding of skin in winter and burning sensation.
You can try any of the following home remedy to cure a skin rash. If the severity of the rash increases it repeated reoccurs then you need to get yourself tested to find out the allergen. You can then take specific herbal remedy to cure the allergy.
1. Baking Powder: You can apply baking powder directly on the affected area. It is one of the best remedy to cure skin rash.
2. Cod Liver Oil and olive Oil: This is another tried and tested method to cure skin rash. Gently massage the affected area with either cod liver oil or olive oil for couple of days.
3. Toothpaste: This may sound funny, but yes, toothpaste can help subside the burning sensation of the rash. Toothpaste has mint in it which gives a cooling effect and cure inflammation. Apply a little over the affected area and see the rash disappear.
4. Oatmeal: Take two fistful of raw oatmeal and put it in your bath water. Let it soak for some time. Use this water to take bath and get relief from those itchy skin rashes.
5. Chamomile Herbal Tea: Make chamomile tea… let of cool and wash the affected area with it. Do not use hot chamomile teas to wash off the area, may aggravate the problem.
6. Calcium Water: Soak a cloth in water that has dissolved calcium in it. Apply this cloth on the affected area. Use cold water for best results.
7. Aloe Vera: Take an aloe vera leaf and gently squeeze out the pulpy gel from it. Apply this gel on the area affected by rashes. It is extremely effective.
8. Blanch Nettle Leaves: Blanch is also known as bichubuti or urtica. To get relief from rashes smear the leaves on the affected area using cotton. You can even use this remedy to cure nappy rashes in a kid.
9. Almond Oil: Gently apply almond oil on the affected area to get rid of redness. You can apply almond oil three to four times in a day.
10. Slice of bread: Take a single slice of bread. Heat it slightly. Now keep this on the affected area to get relief.
11. Basil Leaves: Basil leaves have cooling effect. The paste of the basil leaves can be applied on the affected area.
12 Vitamin C: Include more of Vitamin C rich foods to improve the health of the skin.
